(WashingtonDC.CityRegions.Com, September 18, 2015 ) Baltimore, MD -- EarthMod, an emerging leader in home gardening and décor accessories, is encouraging men and women nationwide to participate in National Indoor Plant Week, an awareness campaign created to highlight the role plants play in overall health and morale.
EarthMod's newly released flagship product, a hand-blown glass bird waterer system, takes the guesswork out of when to water small plants, and helps even ‘brown thumbs' enhance their living and work spaces with thriving greenery.
"Plants are not only a beautiful addition to any space, they are proven to help increase oxygen levels, clean the air, combat illness and promote productivity," said Linda, an EarthMod spokesperson. "National Indoor Plant Week is an opportune time to drive awareness of the many benefits that plants offer, and also share easy, cost-effective ways to maintain the health of plants that don't require tons of time."
The EarthMod glass bird plant waterer system can be used in plant containers up to 5-6" inches in diameter. Users simply fill the opening at the end of the glass spike and then insert the spike deep into the soil. The device determines when the plant should be watered again.
The EarthMod glass bird waterer system is made from borosilicate glass, the same glass used in Pyrex® cookware. The device holds up to one-half cup of water, which depending on container size, humidity levels and room temperature, can last up to five days.
National Indoor Plant Week kicks off on September 15.
The glass bird watering spike is inserted into the plant container's soil and is approximately 6 ½" long. The glass bird is 4" from beak to tail. Each purchase includes two glass birds.
The plant watering devices are designed for year-around use.
