(WashingtonDC.CityRegions.Com, August 28, 2014 ) South Riding, VA -- With multiple grill usage and backyard barbeques, Kiserena wants to ensure everyone enjoys the delicious taste of safely cooked meals. Cutting into a meat to see whether it has finished cooking is not convenient, especially if it needs to be done multiple times. That's why Kiserena offers a digital thermometer and using tips for convenient cooking.
"A meat thermometer can take the guesswork out of cooking. It can help you prevent overcooking and foodborne illness, as well as hold your foods at safe temperatures," said Mr. Cheng, Company spokesperson. "We recommend every cook to use a food thermometer regularly when cooking to ensure the foods are accurately cooked."
Kiserena wants to make certain everyone uses the thermometer the right way and offers the following tips:
Where to insert the food thermometer?
• For poultry, the meat thermometer should be inserted into the area of inner thigh near the breast but not linking with the bone. If stuffed, the stuffing temperature should reach 165°F. Do this at the end and near of the stand time.
• For pork, beef, lamb, ham, veal, steaks, chops or roasts, insert the thermometer into the middle of the thickest area, away from fat, gristle and bone.
• For ground meats and poultry, place the thermometer in the thickest part of ground meats or poultry dishes such as meatloaf. The food thermometer may be placed sideways in a thin item like patty.
• For egg dishes and casseroles, place the thermometer into the thickest area.
When to insert a food thermometer? When the food thermometer should be inserted will be found out by the type: instant-read or oven-proof. The vital point is to use a cooking thermometer regardless of how the foods are prepared-roasted, fried, or boiled.
Ovenproof thermometers may be placed into the foods at the start of cooking duration and stay there during cooking. The food temperature indicator is going to rise bit by bit as the foods cook.
Instant-read thermometers, such as the Kiserena meat thermometer, are not designed to be placed in foods during cooking. This kind of thermometer should be inserted into the poultry or meat after pulling the food out the oven. The food temperature should display in around 15 seconds.
